About Kelsey Maloney
About
Kelsey Maloney
With two avid equestrian parents, Kelsey’s love for horses started early in life. As a junior, she competed in hunters/equitation and later shifted her focus towards the jumpers. She worked her way through the ranks, qualifying for NAJYRC and then successfully competed at the National Grand Prix level.
Throughout her riding career, Kelsey has been fortunate enough to train with some of the top professionals in the world such as Michael Endicott, Margie Engle, and Arlyn DeCicco. Most notably in her career thus far, Kelsey won back-to-back $25k Grand Prix (as well as the weekly $5k Welcome Stake) in Gulfport, MS in 2019.
After competing throughout North America and spending a brief time in Sweden, Kelsey came back to her California roots, to start Skyclad Farms. Her goal is to create a shift in the horse industry: focusing on the connection between horse and rider. Between top-level training, bodywork, and nutrition, Skyclad’s horses are happy, healthy, and performing at their best.
